Kalavaahini presents YAYATI-LIFE AND DESIRE by Sooraj Nambiar in All For Dance edition10. The work reimagines the timeless Mahabharata tale of King Yayati through the lens of Kuṭiyaṭṭam. Premiered under Kalavaahinis Senior Fellowship programme, the production explores the enduring themes of desire, youth, mortality and the consequences of unfulfilled longing. Blending classical performance traditions with contemporary theatrical sensibilities, the work invites audiences to reflect on the human pursuit of pleasure and the wisdom that emerges through renunciation.
