Achuta Manasa is a prominent Indian Kuchipudi dancer, born in Andhra Pradesh, India. Her dance journey commenced at the tender age of six under the guidance of Guru Smt Madhu Nirmala, who imparted basic steps, followed by training from Guru Sri Narasayya. She further honed her skills for three years under Guru Sri Mahankali Suryanarayana Sarma, establishing a strong foundation. Her primary guru, who molded her into a complete Kuchipudi artist, is Sri Kaza Venkata Subrahmanyam, a disciple of Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam and Sri Chintha Adinarayana Sarma. Manasa's debut live performance also took place at the age of six. By the age of ten, the Indian Ministry of Culture recognized her talent and supported her training with scholarships for the subsequent decade. With over nineteen years of experience, she has delivered more than 800 solo Kuchipudi recitals across India and internationally, earning critical acclaim. She is a graded artist of Doordarshan. Beyond her dance career, Manasa holds an engineering degree and previously worked for a software company before dedicating herself entirely to Kuchipudi. In 2011, she became a member of the International Dance Council CID – UNESCO and was invited to represent India at the 31st World Congress on Dance Research in Greece. She also performed at the 51st World Congress on Dance Research in Athens in 2018.
