Revered Classical Indian dancer Anandavalli is a dancer and teacher of Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi. She was identified as a child prodigy and learned under luminaries like Gowri Ammal. After moving to Australia, she began teaching in suburban Sydney due to community requests. She founded Lingalayam Dance Academy and later Lingalayam Dance Company in 1996. She is known for her high standards, innovative use of space, and commitment to nurturing professional dancers and community through classical Indian dance. She has collaborated with other artists and toured nationally and internationally.
