Anish Anukampa is an emerging Odissi dancer and a disciple of the eminent Indian classical dancer and choreographer Kumkum Mohanty. She has performed in her guru's choreographies, including a newly choreographed Kirwani Pallavi and an abhinaya piece based on the Gopal Krishna lyric Shyama ku juhar. A dance critic noted that Anish Anukampa, along with other female dancers, is still developing her artistry to achieve the smooth grace and lyricism characteristic of Odissi.
