Anita Mallick is a highly regarded Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, recognized as an experienced artiste par excellence. She received her training under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty. Mallick has established a significant career, performing extensively across India and in numerous international venues. Her performances, both as a soloist and with her troupe, have graced prestigious festivals such as the Dover Lane Music Conference, Biswa Banga Sammelan, Uday Shankar Nritya Utsav, India International Centre, International Dance Week, and International Trade Fair. Beyond her dance performances, Anita Mallick has also ventured into theatre, notably playing the title role in the group theatre production "Jochhona Kumari," where her stage acting garnered critical acclaim. She is recognized for her proficiency as a performer, her excellence as a trainer, and her innovative choreographic work. Mallick is the founder director of SARASWAT, an institution dedicated to Indian classical dance. She is also associated with the Jodhpur Park Saraswat Sanskriti Kendra, where she conducts workshops and classes. Her contributions to the arts have been acknowledged with several accolades, including the Shiromoni award and the All India Critics Award. She is also an 'A' grade artist of Doordarshan India and serves as a senior examiner for Rabindrabharati University and the National Scholarship selection board. In 2021, she was among the awardees of the Guru Debaprasad Award for the year 2020. Anita Mallick continues to be dedicated to imparting training and fostering excellence in classical dance.
