Anjali Varghese is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam. She commenced her training in Indian classical dance at the age of three. By 2015, at the age of 18, she had already accumulated 15 years of experience in the art form and was a freshman at Oakton Community College. Anjali is the daughter of Guru Ruth Varghese, who serves as the artistic director of the Kalapadma Bharatanatyam Dance Academy of Chicago. Anjali actively participates in the academy, teaching alongside her mother, performing in various productions, and contributing to choreography. She is expected to eventually assume leadership of the Chicago branch of the Kalapadma Dance Academy. The Kalapadma Dance Academy in Golf Maine, Chicago, is a branch of an institution that was originally inaugurated in India in 1960.
