My name is Anju, and while I am a doctor by profession, my soul has always danced to the timeless rhythms of Bharatanatyam. My passion for dance began at an early age, nurtured by my first guru — my mother. At just five years old, I was honoured to train under the esteemed Kalashetra Vilasini in India. That early training laid the foundation for a lifelong journey in dance, shaping who I am today. Throughout the years, I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my dedication to Bharatanatyam, including numerous awards at regional, state, and national levels. One of my proudest achievements is being awarded a national scholarship in Bharatanatyam. My quest for artistic growth led me to train under Guru Asha Muraleedharan and earn a Diploma in Bharatanatyam from Griffin College, London. I am currently continuing my training as I prepare to become a certified Bharatanatyam examiner.
