🪔 About
After studying with Rajarajeswari gurus, chose to study at Dr. Kanak Rele's Nalanda Nriya Kala Mahavidyalaya affiliated to Bombay University. She did her MFA there, obtained sound theoretical knowledge, started her own school and taught students, gaining experience of teaching. After marriage, she was at Geneva, then in Washington where she enrolled for modern dance under Dr. Naima Prevots, taking an MA degree in Modern Dance and taught dance to black American students. She wrote her dissertation on need for dance as a subject in high school, choreographed dance numbers for students taking classes in Bharatanatyam and now after she has moved to Raleigh, teaches at Natya Academy.
