Pukhrambam Bilash Singh, born in 1982, is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Manipuri dance. Hailing from Khagempalli Ningom Leirak, Imphal, he is recognized as a versatile artist with extensive training in various forms, including Manipuri Dance, Classical Solo Dance, Lai Haraoba Dance, and Ballet. He received his comprehensive education from the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) in Imphal, completing certificate, diploma, and post-diploma courses. His training was guided by several esteemed gurus, including M. Kaminikumar Singh, R. Iboton Singh, Th. Chaotombi Singh, W. Lokendrajit, and the late Padmashree Thingbaijam Babu Singh. Additionally, he has trained in Manipuri Martial Arts (Thang-Ta) from the Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association. Throughout his career, Bilash Singh has showcased his dynamic yet graceful performances at numerous national and international dance festivals, including the Bhagyachandra National Classical Dance Festival, Uday Shankar Shatabdi Samaroh, Khajuraho Festival, and events in South Africa, the U.K., and Bangladesh. He is an A-Grade artiste of Doordarshan Kendra, New Delhi, and has contributed as a dancer to the Production Unit of JNMDA, participating in several ballets. He has also demonstrated choreographic skills on various occasions. As of August 2025, he holds the position of Director-in-Charge of the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy.
