Chetan Sariya, also known as Chetan Venilal Saraiya, is an accomplished Indian classical Kathak dancer and choreographer. He holds an M.A. in Kathak, for which he was awarded a gold medal from Bharat College of Fine Arts, Sarfogiraje Bhosale Centre, Kalidas University, Nagpur. His formal education also includes achieving Nrutya Alankaar-Kathak in December 2004 from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharv Mahavidyalay, Miraj. Chetan Sariya received his initial Kathak training for ten years at Nrutya Kiran Institute, Vasai, under the guidance of Guru Smt. Ashalata Parkarji. He further pursued advanced and master training in Kathak dance for over ten years and continues to train at Archana Nrutyalaya, Mumbai, under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Asha Joglekarji. He has also performed at Natvari Nritya Academy in Indore, associated with Guru Puru Dadheech. Throughout his career, Chetan Sariya has performed extensively at various national festivals and cultural events across India. His performances include the Jayadev Sammelan festival in Bhubhaneshwar (May 2016), SAMANVAYA in Mumbai (2015), NAATYA-SANDHYA-7 organized by India World Cultural Forum in Gurgaon (December 2014), and VISHWA NRUTYA BHUSHAN in Mysore (April 2014). He has also graced stages at the PRAJVALAN FESTIVAL in Thane (2014), GATI FESTIVAL (March 2014), and PANCHAM FESTIVAL (February 2014), both organized by Sarfojiraje Bhosale center, Bharata College of Fine Arts, Mumbai. Other notable performances include Bharat Ek Khoj at Nehru Center (December 2013), Aruthra Dharisana Natyanjali Festival in Karur, Tamilnadu, and a duet performance at Navaras Dance Academy in Mumbai. He has been recognized as a "Guru Chetan Saraiya" by The Dance India. In May 2018, he delivered a talk on "Principles of Choreography" as part of "Kathak Samvaad," an interactive session organized by ALAP (Art of Living Academy of Performing Arts) in collaboration with Dr. Sandhya Purecha's Bharata College of Fine Arts and Culture.
