Chintan Karsanbhai Patel is a Bharatanatyam dancer and the artistic director of Tejas Dance, based in Dallas, Texas. He received his training under Dr. Uma Anantani and Smt. Shivangee Vikram from Rasadhwani, Ahmedabad, an institution affiliated with Nalanda Nrityakala Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. After relocating to Dallas, Texas, he established Tejas Dance in 2014, where he continues to teach and inspire young dancers. Patel has directed and choreographed numerous classical dance productions, which have garnered excellent reviews and been showcased at various dance festivals across Texas, including Dallas Dances and Barnstorm. He perceives Bharatanatyam as a profound medium for discovering metaphors in everyday life and an art form deeply rooted in spiritual upliftment, drawn to its inherent vibrancy and spiritual beauty. Tejas Dance specializes in the Tanjavore style of Bharatanatyam and offers classes for both children and adults in the Plano, Coppell, and Frisco areas.
