Chisato Miura is an Odissi dancer from Japan, known for her dedication to the Guru Debaprasad Das style of Odissi dance. This style is recognized for incorporating elements of tribal, folk, and classical culture from Odisha. Miura's training in Odissi began in 2010 under Ms. Kaori Naka in Nara, Japan, and further intensified from 2011 under Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. She also undertook Hindustani Pakhawaj training from 2010 to 2013 under Mr. Tetsuya Kaneko in Nagoya, Japan, and Odissi Mardal training from 2010 under Guru Shree Janarndan Dash in Bhubaneswar. Throughout her career, Miura has performed extensively in various locations across India, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Notable performances include participation in the Kala Utsav in Osaka (2011), India Mela in Kobe (2011, 2012), and the Odissi International Festival in Bhubaneswar (2011), where she was part of a group that achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest Odissi dance. She also performed during a Malaysia tour in 2012 and at the World Heritage Gango-ji temple dedicatory program in Nara, Japan, in the same year. In 2014, Chisato Miura began teaching Odissi dance in Nagoya, Japan. She established the Japan branch of Tridhara in 2016, an institution through which she continues to promote and propagate the Odissi tradition. She has also successfully organized her guru's Japan tour, 'AKHADA', and considers continuing this project as her life's work. Awards & Honours: Nara Mayor Award, Dance Section Award.
