Cynthia Muraleetharan commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of six at Mudralaya, where she was tutored by Pushkala Gopal and Unnikrishnan. She further enhanced her skills through a summer intensive program with Mavin Khoo, a prominent international male solo performer. Muraleetharan completed her Arangetram in September 2011, marking her formal debut in Bharatanatyam. Throughout her career, Cynthia Muraleetharan has participated in numerous significant dance events and performances. These include Vasantha Utsavam in 1995, Bharatha Yatra in 1997, and An Evening of Dance in 2004. Her performance venues have spanned prestigious locations such as the Royal Albert Hall, events for the Queen's Golden Jubilee, and Diwali at Trafalgar Square. Internationally, she has performed for the Embassy India Project opening ceremony in Serbia, Hoysala UK (OJAS), Arts at the Parliament, and the London International Arts Festival. Cynthia Muraleetharan is also actively involved in teaching Bharatanatyam. She is a member of the Sanskriti team, where she teaches students at the Manor Park location. In this role, she assists Smt. Shruti and Smt. Pushkala, contributing to the instruction and development of aspiring dancers.
