Dhanashree Natu-Potdar is an accomplished Indian classical Kathak dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Pune, Maharashtra. She received her Kathak training under the guidance of Guru Smt. Roshan Datye at the Rochit Kathak Akademi in Pune. Natu-Potdar demonstrated academic excellence, standing first in her M.A. (Kathak Dance) across all faculties of Performing Arts from Lalit Kala Kendra – Gurukul, University of Pune, in June 2011. Her career highlights include receiving the prestigious scholarship for young artists from the Government of India, Ministry of Culture, in 2010. She was honored with the “Singar Mani” Award by Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai, in May 2009. Natu-Potdar has also been recognized with the “C.D. Bhatt Memorial Young Achiever's Award” from the Rotary Club of Poona in 2005-2006. Her talent has been showcased internationally, as she was selected to perform at New York-Hamstead in 2010 for “Vedic Heritage” by the Jasraj Foundation & Acharya Vishwanath Dev Sarma Foundation. She has also performed classical dance in the Marathi movie “Mai Baap” in 2006. Dhanashree Natu-Potdar is known for her choreographic work, including pieces based on Natyasangeet and collaborative projects like "Kathak On Bass Grooves" with bassist Amit Gadgil. Awards & Honours: Singar Mani Award (2009), Scholarship for Young Artist (2010), C.D. Bhatt Memorial Young Achiever's Award (2005).
