Dhanya Chandramohan is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer with a significant presence in central Portugal, where she actively contributes to the Indian classical dance landscape. She brings to her art 29 years of extensive performance experience, cultivated through numerous presentations across the United States and India. Dhanya is a devoted disciple of Guru Suba Ramesh Parmar, a respected exponent of the traditional Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam. Her guru, Suba Ramesh Parmar, is a direct lineage holder, having trained under the eminent Kalaimamani Guru Indra Rajan and Pandanallur Srinivasa Pillai, thereby grounding Dhanya's practice in a rich and authentic classical tradition. In addition to her profound classical roots, Dhanya Chandramohan has also embraced contemporary dance forms, notably Masala Bhangra. Since 2016, she has undergone training in this energetic Bhangra and Bollywood fusion style directly from its founder, Sarina Jain. Her engagement with Masala Bhangra has included extensive performances as part of the Masala Bhangra Performance Team in New York City, and she currently holds the leadership position for the Masala Bhangra Performance Team in Portugal. As an educator and performer, Dhanya Chandramohan is dedicated to sharing Indian dance. She conducts classes and workshops in both Bharatanatyam and Masala Bhangra, catering to a diverse age group from adults to children aged 5 and above, primarily within the greater Lisbon area of Portugal. Her notable performance engagements include the Times Square Diwali Celebration in New York, USA, in 2019, the Lisbon Diwali Show in November 2025, and the Shiv Mandir Holi Fest in Lisbon, Portugal, in May 2026.
