Dipali Tikam is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer and a dedicated teacher of the art form. She has been actively performing for over 15 years, showcasing her expertise in Odissi. Dipali Tikam received her training under the tutelage of Guru Jhelum Paranjape at Smitalay, an institution known for its contributions to Indian classical dance. As a senior disciple of Guru Jhelum Paranjape, she embodies the traditions and techniques passed down through her lineage. Beyond her performances, Dipali Tikam is also committed to imparting her knowledge to the next generation of dancers. She teaches Odissi classical dance to students at Smitalay, contributing to the preservation and propagation of this intricate dance style. Her performances include significant appearances at various cultural events and festivals. In August 2017, she performed at "URJA. A Classical Dance Festival" in Mumbai, India. More recently, in December 2022, she performed at the Girnar Dance festival, where she presented Odissi duets such as "Aravi Pallavi" and "Mangalacharan Shantakaram" alongside fellow dancer Bhavna Pani. Earlier in her career, in October 2012, Dipali Tikam performed "Odissi Durga" at IIT Bombay. Her dedication to Odissi is evident in her consistent performances and her role as an educator.
