Divya Chandran is a dancer, performer, and educator formally trained in the Indian classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. She holds a Bachelor in Choreography from the Natya Institute of Kathak & Choreography. Chandran integrates her passion for dance and martial arts into her choreographies and performances. Her training also extends to Indian Folk dance forms, and she possesses a good knowledge of them. Additionally, she is educated in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, which she incorporates into her training for dancers. With 20 years of experience, Divya Chandran has taught dance to various age groups. She has performed for many years in creative projects, collaborating with dancers, musicians, and choreographers. In her early career, she performed classical Indian dances in India, and has since engaged in more contemporary dance styles in both India and Denmark. Currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark, she teaches Bollywood dance and Yoga. She offers seasonal classes at FOF, private lessons, and workshops, including for events like birthdays and weddings. Her artistic focus is on creating content for dance performances and projects, with an emphasis on aesthetics and material that audiences can easily relate to.
