Divya Suresh, also known as Divya Narayanan, is an accomplished Indian classical dancer and educator specializing in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattom, and Kathakali. Born and raised in Delhi, India, she began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of four, initially under Guru Aruna Subramaniam for basic instruction, and later pursuing higher studies in Kalakshetra traditions with Guru V. Krishnamoorthi. Her extensive training also includes Mohiniyattom from Kalamandalam Seema Venugopal and, notably, in the traditional Gurukulam style from the legendary Kalamandalam Kalyanikutti Amma, sponsored by SPIC-MACAY. Divya further honed her skills in Kathakali through a seven-year course with Guru Sadanam Balakrishnan and Sadanam Hari Kumar. She also received training in Carnatic Music from Dr. Leela Omcherry and Geetha Rajan. Recognized as a prodigy in classical Indian dance, Divya Suresh performed hundreds of times across India and was a Government of India panel graded artist on Doordarshan, India's national television channel. She served as a dance teacher and choreographer at Montfort Senior Secondary School in India, where she trained over a thousand students. She founded her own institution, "Divyanjali Institute of Classical Dances," in India, imparting specialized training to more than 200 students, including international visitors, for seven years. After moving to the United States in 2001, she continued to perform and teach in Massachusetts and New Jersey before establishing the "Divya School of Dance" in Utah in 2009. Through her school, she has trained over 100 students and conducted seven Arangetrams, promoting Indian classical dance forms and cultural traditions.
