Dr. Divyasena Haribabu is a highly accomplished Indian classical dancer, teacher, choreographer, and scholar specializing in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. Based in Chennai, India, she is recognized as an "A" TOP graded artist. Her profound journey in Kuchipudi commenced at the legendary Kuchipudi Arts Academy under the tutelage of Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, and she continues her advanced training under Sri Mosalikanti Jai Kishore. In Bharatanatyam, she received training from Sri J. Suryanarayana Murthy, with specialized instruction in Abhinaya from the late Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. Dr. Divyasena founded the Divyanjali School of Classical Dance and Music in 1994, an institution dedicated to mentoring aspiring artists. She holds an M.Phil. in Bharatanatyam, M.A. degrees in both Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, and a Ph.D. in Bharatanatyam, which she earned in 2019. Her academic career includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Bharatanatyam Department at the University of Silicon Andhra and as a guest faculty at Christ University in Bangalore and the University of Madras. As a performer, Dr. Divyasena made her Arangetram in 1985 and has been performing for Doordarshan Kendra since 1988. Her extensive performance career includes international tours to South Africa (1991), Bangkok (1994, 1995, 2000), Singapore (1996), France (1999), and London (1999), where she choreographed and performed "Krishna Leela" with 80 students and "Hanuman Chalisa," respectively. She has also performed at prestigious events like the Mamallapuram Dance Festival and the Dubai Expo 2020. Her choreographic works have received grants from the Ministry of Art and Culture, Government of India.
