Founder of Upasana Kalakendra, Dance Scholar, Educator, Performer and Choreographer. She received extensive training in Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Ottanthulal and Carnatic Music. Holds a PhD in Dance from Texas Woman’s University, focusing on movement vocabulary of Indian classical dance. Also holds an MA and MPhil in English Language and Literature and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, and a degree in Education.
