Dr. Smt. Madhuri Deshmukh is a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance, specializing in Mohiniyattam. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A), Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A), UGC-NET qualification in Mohini Attam, and a Ph.D in Dance, all awarded by the University of Mumbai. With over 30 years of experience, she serves as an Associate Professor of Dance and the Head of Department (Dance) at the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai. Dr. Deshmukh has an extensive performance career, having presented over 580 performances on both national and international stages. Her contributions to Indian classical dance are further recognized by her empanelment as an artist with the India Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Awards & Honours: Rotary International Award for Professional Excellence, Scholarship Holder from Central Sangeet Natak Academy for Advanced study in Mohini Attam, Dance Exponent Award for Mohini Attam (2023).
