FACT Chandrasekharan Nair is a Kathakali artist born on April 5, 1952. His parents are Narayanan Nair and Kunjukutty Amma. He began his Kathakali training after completing his 8th standard education, dedicating eight years to the art form. During his training, he had the opportunity to learn under notable gurus such as Kalamandalam Karunakaran and Kudamaloor Karunakaran Nair. Chandrasekharan Nair specializes in portraying "Minukku" and "Pacha" characters in Kathakali performances. He has performed roles such as Krishnan in "Duryodhanavadham". In recognition of his contributions to Kathakali, he received a Certificate and Award from the Bhopal Indira Gandhi Museum in 1992. He resides in Kollam, Kerala, India, and is married with one daughter. The prefix "FACT" in his name indicates his association with the FACT Lalithakala Kendra, a center for performing arts that included a Kathakali school.
