Gayatri Deodhar began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five with Sivagami Vanka at Kalabharathi School of Dance in Beaverton, OR, and continued with Kalashri Asha Gopal at Arathi School of Dance in Phoenix, AZ. She completed her arangetram, or debut performance, in 2001. Since 2015, Deodhar has been a teacher at the Triveni School of Dance, an Indian classical dance institution located in Brookline, MA.
