Geethika Sree

Geethika Sree is a prominent contemporary Indian classical dancer, primarily known for her Odissi performances, and is a principal dancer and administrator at the Sutra Foundation in Malaysia. She began her training in Bharatanatyam under her mother, Sudha Sasikumar, before commencing her Odissi studies with Guru Ramli Ibrahim. Geethika Sree was first featured at the Sutra Foundation when she was eleven years old and has since become a seasoned performer, participating in major international productions by the foundation. She has also served as an assistant to the artistic director for Sutra's productions, including GANJAM, Amorous Delight, and Odissi on High. Her solo performance in "Penetrating the Goddess 2017" earned her recognition as one of the 'Top 10 New Generation Malaysian Cultural Dancers 2017'. Geethika Sree has partnered with Ramli Ibrahim in numerous Odissi performances for heads of states at international gatherings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was involved in Sutra Foundation's efforts to archive cultural treasures and, with support from ArtsFAS, contributed to the Rentak Bumi project, which showcased Malaysia's multicultural dance through live and virtual performances and webinars. She currently works full-time as an administrator at the Sutra Foundation.
