Indira Sreeram Reddy, also known as Indira Sreeram and Guru Indira Dixith, is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, teacher, performer, and choreographer, primarily recognized for her expertise in Kuchipudi. Hailing from Hyderabad, India, she began her journey in Indian classical dance at a young age, having her Bharatanatyam arangetram at nine under the tutelage of Guru Mythili Kumar. She then specialized in Kuchipudi, receiving over two decades of dedicated and professional training from the renowned Kuchipudi Maestro Kalaprapoorna Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam at the Kuchipudi Art Academy in Chennai, India. As an accomplished performer, Indira Sreeram Reddy has toured and given performances in major cities across India, the former Soviet Union, Europe, Germany, Canada, and the United States. She also served as an ICCR cultural ambassador, participating in significant festivals in these countries. Indira Sreeram Reddy is the artistic founder-director of the "Center for Kuchipudi Dance" in New Jersey, USA, an institution dedicated to propagating the ancient art form to the Indian American community. The school, established around 2002, currently enrolls over 100 students who are actively pursuing Kuchipudi under her guidance. She is known for her innovative and vibrant choreography, striving to communicate the beauty of Kuchipudi to diverse audiences. Her dedication to the art form has earned her immense recognition as a performer, teacher, and choreographer, with over 20 years of teaching and choreography experience.
