Indu Panday is an Indian classical dancer, born and raised in The Netherlands, who has achieved proficiency in both Bharatanatyam and Kathak. Her journey in Indian classical dance began at the age of seven with Bharatanatyam, under the tutelage of Kalakshetra alumni guru Smt. Geeta Ramlal. She completed her Bharatanatyam training with a traditional solo debut performance (arangetram) guided by guru Sri Satish Myre-Makhan. In 2013, Panday expanded her artistic repertoire by commencing her studies in Kathak, a North Indian classical dance form, under the guidance of gurus Sri Hari and Smt. Chethana Hari from Bangalore, India. After two years of intensive training in both India and The Netherlands, she presented her Kathak solo performance on September 27, 2015, at the Korzo Theater in The Hague, The Netherlands. Indu Panday is recognized as one of the few professional Indian dancers in the Netherlands who has mastered both Bharatanatyam and Kathak at a professional level. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with several internationally acclaimed dancers and choreographers, including Kalpana Raghuraman, Seeta Patel, Subhatra Subramaniam, Kenzo Kusuda, Sri Hari, Smt. Chethana Hari, and Revanta Sarabhai. She has toured nationally and internationally with various classical and contemporary Indian dance productions. Beyond her performance career, Indu Panday is also dedicated to teaching Kathak in The Hague, aiming to inspire future generations in Indian arts. She holds cum laude Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accountancy from the University of Amsterdam.
