Indu Santhosh is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and the founder of Vibhavana Foundation, based in Bangalore, India. She is recognized for her sensitive and thoughtful approach to the art form, characterized by nuanced Abhinaya and strong, graceful Nritta. Santhosh is a senior disciple of Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra and is currently mentored by Sri. Vaibhav Arekar. Her comprehensive training also includes Karanas and Natyasastra vocabulary under Dr. Sujatha Mohan, Mohiniyattom under Smt. Vinitha Nedungadi, and Nattuvangam under Sri. Kiran Subramaniam. Her early schooling at Sadanam Institutions provided exposure to Kathakali and Ottanthullal. Indu Santhosh holds an MFA degree in Bharatanatyam and is a graded artiste of Doordarshan and an empanelled artist of SPIC MACAY. Throughout her career, Indu Santhosh has performed extensively as a soloist and as part of various ensembles across India and internationally. Notable performances include the ICCR tour of India in 2012 and the International Young Performer Tour of the US in 2017. She has presented her solo production 'Sarvaantarah,' based on Advaita Vedanta, and has utilized Bharatanatyam to voice environmental and social issues, including a work for the Rally for Rivers campaign by Isha Foundation. Santhosh is also a member of 'The Rasa Triangle,' a group of three artistes dedicated to art appreciation programs. Through her Vibhavana Foundation, she trains aspiring students in Bharatanatyam and conducts regular classes at the Attiguppe Government School in Bangalore.
