Phane Jayanthi Sen is a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance, serving as the Artistic Director and Choreographer of NatyaHasta Center for Dance. With over 30 years of experience in dance, she is highly regarded as both a performer and teacher within the Ohio and Northern Kentucky dance communities in the USA. Sen holds a Master's degree in Indian Classical Dance, specializing in Kuchipudi, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Child Education. Her expertise spans both Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, two prominent Indian classical dance forms. She has garnered international acclaim, performing and instructing at various dance festivals globally, and is a member of the International Dance Council (CID). Her contributions to Indian classical dance have been recognized in publications such as the Dance and Music magazine “SHRUTI” in India, and she has received positive reviews from esteemed Indian newspapers including The Statesman, Deccan Chronicle, and Times of India. In 2003, she established the NatyaHasta School of Dance in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in 2011, she founded ASIAN ARTS HERITAGE, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the alliance between classical Indian and Western dances in the US, while also supporting various social and community causes. She also directs the Raag Malika School of Music.
