Kalamandalam Hariharan is a distinguished Mizhavu artist specializing in Koodiyattam, an ancient Sanskrit theatre art form from Kerala, India. Born in 1969, he began his formal training in Mizhavu drumming at Kerala Kalamandalam at the age of 16. His debut performance took place a year later at Aiyyappankavu, Cheruplassery. Hariharan completed a four-year diploma and two years of higher training at Kalamandalam, supported by a scholarship from the Government of India. He received tutelage from esteemed gurus such as Kalamandalam Eshwaran Unni and V.K.K. Hariharan. Since 1995, he has been a Mizhavu artist at the Ammannur Chachu Chakyar Smaraka Gurukulam. Throughout his career, Hariharan has actively participated in several national theatre festivals across India, including the Khajuraho and Kendra Sangeet Nataka Academy's Kutiyattam festivals. He has also toured extensively abroad with various prominent Koodiyattam artists and the Gurukulam troupe. His contributions include working on new productions by notable figures like Guru Ammannur Madhava Chakyar, G. Venu's "Sakuntalam" and "Vikramorvasheeyam," Ammannur Kuttan Chakyar's "Mayashiras," and Margi Sathy's "SreeRamacharitham nangiarkoothu" and "Kannakicharitham Nangiarkoothu."
