🪔 About

Kirti Ramgopal is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer from Bangalore, India, recognized as one of the brightest talents of her generation. Her journey in Indian classical dance began at a tender age, driven by a profound fascination for Bharatanatyam's blend of rhythm, rhyme, and expression. Kirti received her foundational training under Smt. Padmini Ramachandran. She further honed her artistry through mentorship and guidance from eminent gurus Smt. Priyadarshini Govind and Sri. A. Lakshman. Currently, she continues to refine her abhinaya (expressive dance) under the tutelage of Smt. Bragha Bessell. Throughout her career, Kirti Ramgopal has captivated audiences across India and internationally, performing in countries including the US, Canada, UK, Europe, The Middle East, and Bangladesh. Her performances are characterized by vibrant energy, expressive delivery, and a keen sense of joy. Critics and connoisseurs alike have lauded her for her incandescent Natyam, which showcases an abundance of lively skill, geometric precision, nimbleness, grace, and sensitivity. She is known for her neat technique, glorious arai mandi (deep plié position), and well-defined perception of the art form. Kirti has also demonstrated her choreographic abilities by composing nritta for some of her varnams. She is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) since 2007, a testament to her proficiency and contribution to Indian classical dance. Kirti is also actively involved in teaching, having trained students since at least 2010, and has expressed plans to establish her own dance institute.
