Kishore Mosalikanti, also known as Jaikishore Mosalikanti, is a renowned exponent of Kuchipudi, an Indian classical dance form. Born on November 5, 1974, in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, he began his dance journey at the age of seven under the tutelage of the legendary Padmabhushan Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam at the Kuchipudi Art Academy in Chennai. He trained under his guru for 18 years, mastering the intricacies of the Kuchipudi style and excelling in significant roles in ballets and solo performances. As a performer, Mosalikanti has graced major dance festivals across India, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, earning acclaim for his technical perfection, flexibility, and profound character portrayal. Beyond performing, he is also a skilled nattuvanar, accompanying Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Mohiniattam performances. His choreographic works, numbering over thirty solo pieces and several thematic presentations and dance dramas, are celebrated for their innovative use of rhythm and adherence to traditional aesthetics. Notable collaborations include the full-length Kuchipudi ballets "Navarasa" (2005) and "Bhaagamati" (2009) with Anuradha Nehru. Mosalikanti's teaching legacy is equally significant. He served as a teacher at the Kuchipudi Art Academy from 1996 to 2000 (or 2006) and has conducted annual workshops in the U.S. since 1996. In 2002, he co-founded "Shivamohanam" in Chennai with his wife and disciple, Padmavani Mosalikanti, an institution dedicated to training the next generation of Kuchipudi dancers with an emphasis on holistic development. He also leads annual summer camp dance intensives at Kalanidhi Dance in the U.S. since 2003 and has been associated with Natyanjali since 2005. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards such as 'Natya Vishaarada' (1999), 'Yuva Kala Vipanchee' (2004), and the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (2013-2014).
