Kreena Patel is a professionally trained Indian Classical dancer and the founder and lead instructor of Kreena's Dance Academy, established in Edmonton, Canada, in 2017. She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Performing Arts, specializing in Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangam from M. S. University of Baroda. With over 8 years of teaching experience, Kreena specializes in Bharatanatyam, possessing both practical and theoretical knowledge of the art form. Her training also includes the basics of Odissi and Kathak. Beyond classical styles, she offers instruction in Bollywood dance, semi-classical, contemporary, and Indian folk dances. Kreena is also an active choreographer, providing services for weddings, groups, couples, and stage performances for various events. Her dedication to dance has been recognized with several accolades, including the first prize in dance choreography at the Gujarati Cultural Festival in Edmonton in 2023, and the second prize in the All India Dance and Drama Competition held in Shimla, India, in 2018. She has also achieved multiple wins as Garba Queen in local competitions in Baroda, India. Through Kreena's Dance Academy, she aims to nurture talent and foster creativity in Indian dance forms.
