Krishnendu Saha is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer, recognized for his intense and artistic performances. He received intensive training under the guidance of Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Guru Sharmila Biswas. Saha holds a degree in Zoology from West Bengal State University and is recognized as a Grade B artist by Prasar Bharti, Doordarshan Kendra, Delhi. Throughout his career, Saha has graced numerous prestigious dance festivals across India, including the Konark Dance Festival, Odissi International Dance Festival, Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav, Khajuraho Dance Festival, and the Nakshatra Festival (NCPA). He has also had the distinct honor of performing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sadguru at the Isha Foundation. His solo performances have garnered critical acclaim, with a review in Narthaki praising his "complete artistry" and "intense immersion" in the dance form. Notably, his 'Odissi Margam' presentations embody themes of human evolution and spiritual liberation. In recognition of his significant contributions to Odissi dance, Krishnendu Saha was honored with the Nalanda Nritya Nipuna Award in 2021 by the Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Mumbai. Beyond his performing career, he is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of dancers and runs his own dance institute, Odissi Nritya Niketan, located in Udaipur, where he imparts his knowledge and passion for the classical art form.
