Kshithija Kasaravalli is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and teacher, primarily known for her expertise in Bharatanatyam, Bharatanritya, and Kuchipudi. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, she serves as the Artistic Director of the Nritya Kshithi school of dance, where she has been imparting knowledge and culture of Bharatanatyam to over 100 students for more than 17 years, including conducting online classes for international students. She holds a B.Com., M.F.A (Dance), and Vidwath in Bharatanatya. Kshithija's extensive training includes Bharatanatyam under Guru Dr. Geetha Ananthanarayan and later under Karnataka Kalashree Guru (Late) B. Bhanumathi. She received specialized training in Bharatanritya (Karanas) from Guru (Late) Smt. Sundari Santhanam, a direct disciple of Padmabhushan Dr. Padma Subramanyam. For Kuchipudi, she trained under Smt. Dharani T. Kashyap and received advanced training from Guru Smt. Natyavisharada Anupama Mohan, a direct disciple of Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. An 'A' Graded Artist of Bengaluru Doordarshan, Kshithija Kasaravalli has graced over 1000 stages across India and internationally, with performances in the United States (San Francisco, Los Angeles), Great Britain (London), Singapore, Indonesia (Bali), the Philippines, and Nepal. Her performances have been featured on various television channels, including Doordarshan (Chandana), Udaya TV, and Sri Shankara TV. Notable performances include the Nrityaantaranga festival in Puttur in 2018 and the Navarathri Dance Festival in 2021. She also presented a unique tribute to former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, performing to his song 'Annaye Annaye' at a dance festival hosted by Aatmalaya Academy. As a Natuvangist, she has accompanied Guru (Late) Smt. Sundari Santhanam in various dance programs. Kshithija Kasaravalli comes from the renowned Kasaravalli family, known for its contributions to film, theatre, music, literature, and photography. She has been recognized with awards such as the "Pratibha Puraskar" and the "Kala Vagvisvarupini" Title in 2024 for an Odissi performance from HTCC Bothell, WA, USA. She guides her students through examinations conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education and Examination Board and Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya.
