Mahnaz Rahman is a distinguished lecturer in the Department of Dance at the University of Dhaka, where she specializes in Bharatanatyam Classical dance. She was a member of the inaugural batch of the Department of Dance, commencing her studies in the 2014–2015 academic session. Throughout her academic career at the University of Dhaka, Ms. Rahman demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, successfully earning both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with outstanding grades. Her scholarly achievements were formally recognized through prestigious accolades, including the Dean’s Award for Excellence during her postgraduate studies and the Dean’s Award of Merit during her undergraduate tenure. As an accomplished Bharatanatyam practitioner, Mahnaz Rahman has actively showcased her artistic talents on various platforms, both within Bangladesh and internationally, consistently representing the University of Dhaka with distinction. Her professional and research interests are broad, encompassing critical areas such as dance education and career development within Bangladesh, the exploration of innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum design and enhancement, fostering creative expression through dance, and engaging in cultural studies.
