Mala Pisharody is an acclaimed international Indian classical dancer, proficient in both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. She has extensive training and experience in these classical dance styles. Pisharody is actively involved in teaching and performing, offering weekly beginner-level Bharatanatyam classes at the Chinmaya Mission in Brampton, Canada. She is also associated with the Adishankara Academy of Performing Arts, an institution that celebrated its 20th anniversary around 2025, indicating her long-standing commitment to promoting and teaching Indian classical dance. Her performances include Mohiniyattam recitals and she has guided students through their Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam Rangapraveshams, showcasing her dedication as a teacher and choreographer. Pisharody's work extends to creating new dance pieces and performing at various cultural and religious events, demonstrating her active engagement in the classical dance community.
