Manisha Bhargava is a prominent Indian classical dancer specializing in Mayurbhanj Chhau, a martial arts-based dance form. Initially considering learning Jazz in the United States, her path shifted dramatically upon discovering Chhau, a dance form that deeply resonated with her. She trained under the tutelage of Guru Janmejoy Sai Babu at the Natya Ballet Centre. Bhargava quickly rose to prominence as one of the youngest female solo exponents of Mayurbhanj Chhau. Her career has seen her perform on international stages, including the Juksan International Arts Festival in Seoul and the Monaco Dance Forum in Monte Carlo in 2002. She was also scheduled to perform at the Netherlands Dance Festival in May 2003. Beyond her classical dance career, Bhargava has a background as a trained fitness instructor, holding certifications from Reebok India and AFAA, USA, and worked with the World Health Organization in Delhi. In 2021, she was also involved in teaching Bollywood dance in the Midvale Community. Her dedication to Chhau is driven by a desire to gain wider recognition for the magnificent dance form.
