Manisha Jeet is a distinguished Kathak exponent and educator based in Mumbai, India. She is a prime disciple of Guru Asha Joglekar, under whose tutelage she honed her artistry. Jeet founded the Manas Cultural Institute in 2000, an institution dedicated to Kathak training, choreography, and performance. Her career in the field spans over two decades, commencing in 2001, during which she has trained more than 200 students. The Manas Cultural Institute, which she directs, has garnered over 100 awards and is affiliated with the Nalanda Dance Research Centre and Akhil Bharateeya Gandharva Mahavidyalay. The institute provides comprehensive guidance for students pursuing diplomas, degrees, and even Masters in Kathak, and also prepares talented individuals for scholarships, classical competitions, and membership in its professional dance troupe. Manisha Jeet is recognized for her significant contributions to Kathak education, having been awarded the Vidya Ravi Samman in January 2020 by Alaap, an organization associated with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She also holds the title of Nritya Sambardhini from Atharva School of Fine Arts and is a Kathak Visharad, Kathak Alankar, and a Kathak Educator. Her commitment to the art form extends to her memberships in the International Dance Congress and the NCPA Mumbai Dance Festival.
