Mathuschankab was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. With the help and support of her parents, she started her dance career in Zurich at the age of 4. She has been trained by her Guru Gnanasunthary Vasan for more than 19 years and has finished three Margams. Mathu has completed her teaching grade in Bharatanatyam with the highest score and is also trained in Carnatic music. Mathuschanka got awarded as ‘Narthana Selvi’ by her Guru Gnanasunthary Vasan during her Rangapravesam for completing 3 Margams in Bharatanatyam and for being the first student doing the Rangapravesam after reaching the teacher’s grade exams.
