Maya Dhananjay is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam and Kathak, who also performs Perini Nrithya. She began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of 12, performing her Rangapravesha (debut) in 2008. She is a disciple of Guru Shubha Dhananjay. Throughout her career, Maya Dhananjay has performed extensively, including Bharatanatyam and Kathak performances that have been telecasted on DD Chandana TV in 2020. She has also performed Perini Nrithya at the Shiva Vishnu Temple in Melbourne. Maya Dhananjay often performs alongside her mother, Shubha Dhananjay, and sister, Mudra Dhananjay. In 2026, Maya Dhananjay founded "Thasya Dance," a classical Indian arts institution located in Brunswick East, Melbourne, Australia, where new batches for classes began in August of that year. She is actively involved in teaching and choreographing, with her work being featured in various productions.
