Guru Meena Logan is a prominent Bharatanatyam exponent, teacher, and the Founder-Artistic Director of the Pushpanjali Dance Academy. Her journey in Bharatanatyam commenced at an early age under the tutelage of her aunt, the late Guru Kalaimamani Smt. K.J. Sarasa, a distinguished dance teacher, the first lady nattuvanar, and an eminent Bharatanatyam exponent. Meena Logan performed extensively with her Guru's acclaimed dance troupe, "Sarasalaya," both in India and internationally. In 1996, Guru Logan relocated to California, where she established the Pushpanjali Dance Academy to impart her knowledge and passion for Bharatanatyam to young and aspiring students. The academy, founded in 1996, celebrated two decades of excellence and its 41st student Arangetram around 2017. She is recognized for her extensive teaching experience and her ability to choreograph numerous group performances. Her teaching methodology emphasizes the graceful execution of technically perfect dance movements combined with a vivid and soulful exposition of abhinaya, guiding many of her students to graduate in this classical art form. In 2020, Guru Logan moved to Austin, Texas, and continues to actively engage in local community events through the Pushpanjali Dance Academy. She has also been a consistent supporter of the "Sarasa Natya Mala" festival, an annual event held in memory of her guru K.J. Sarasa, since its inception in 2013, and has performed nattuvangam at the festival.
