Mridula Nambiar is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and performer, recognized for her contributions to Indian classical dance. She holds a Diploma in Bharatanatyam and received her foundational training under the tutelage of the legendary Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan. Nambiar continues to refine her artistic journey under the guidance of Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan. Her association with Ganesa Natyalaya significantly shaped her development as both a performer and a mentor to aspiring dancers. Throughout her career, Mridula Nambiar has graced numerous prestigious stages, performing nationally across India and internationally in various European countries. Her notable performances include appearances at esteemed venues such as Rashtrapati Bhawan and renowned festivals like Khajuraho, Soorya, and Margazhi. She has been honored with the 'Kalashree' title for her dedication to the art form. Nambiar is also recognized as a "Rising Star" in the contemporary Bharatanatyam landscape. As a dedicated educator, Mridula Nambiar is currently based in the UK, where she offers personalized online and offline Bharatanatyam classes for students of all levels, aiming to keep the tradition vibrant and accessible. Her curriculum encompasses a wide range of elements, including Adavus (basic to advanced), body conditioning, theoretical knowledge, Hasta Mudras, Abhinaya (expression), traditional compositions, and stage presence. She is also a selfless and dedicated dance teacher at Sarvam Shakti. Nambiar is also a choreographer, having introduced her work "Nangeli," a powerful portrayal of resistance against gender and caste oppression, which was featured on Avai Dance Video.
