🪔 About

Nagendra Prasad, an Indian choreographer, actor, and director, was born on December 19, 1975. While some sources indicate his birthplace as Mysore, other verifiable information states Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the youngest son of the acclaimed dance master Mugur Sundar and the younger brother of renowned choreographers Prabhu Deva and Raju Sundaram. Prasad received formal dance training from his father from an early age, which included classical forms such as Bharatanatyam, alongside contemporary and folk dance styles. This comprehensive training provided a strong foundation for his versatile choreography in South Indian cinema. He began his career assisting his family in creating dance sequences for films and later transitioned into acting and direction. Nagendra Prasad has choreographed for over 50 films in Tamil, Kannada, and other South Indian languages, often incorporating high-energy routines and fusion styles. He also pursued studies in choreography and filmmaking in London. In 2012, he founded the MSM Dance School in Chennai, named after his father, Mugur Sundar Master. Located in Alwarpet, Chennai, the school offers a curriculum that includes Bharatanatyam, Bollywood, hip-hop, jazz, tap, and funky moves, aiming to train aspiring dancers and perpetuate various dance forms.
