Namrata Pamnani is a multifaceted Indian classical artist, widely recognized for her sensitive approach to Kathak dance. Born on November 25, 1980, in Delhi, she received extensive training in Kathak for 15 years under Guru Smt. Bharti Gupta. She further specialized in abhinaya (expressive dance) under Pt. Jaikishan Maharaj at the National Institute of Dance, Kathak Kendra, Delhi. Pamnani holds a graduate degree in economics from Delhi University and has also pursued formal training in Hindustani classical music, earning a diploma from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She is currently learning the nuances of Dhrupad from the Gundecha Brothers. Her career as an established soloist has seen her perform extensively at prestigious dance festivals across India, including Kathak Mahotsava, Konark Festival, and Natya Vriksha Festival. Internationally, she has graced stages in the USA, France, Switzerland, Finland, South Korea, Russia, Germany, and Sri Lanka. Pamnani joined the Kathak Kendra Repertory as a dancer in 2007, where she gained four years of experience in choreography. She has contributed to the choreographic works of leading dance maestros such as Smt. Kumudini Lakhia, Smt. Prerna Shrimali, and Smt. Urmila Nagar. As an educationist, trainer, and choreographer, she conducts workshops and lecture demonstrations globally, including as a visiting faculty at Atelier Ethnomusicologie Geneva. Her creative works, often based on universal concepts, have been presented at international conferences promoting arts and culture.
