Nandini Sinha is a distinguished contemporary exponent of Kathak, one of India's classical dance forms, known for her graceful and expressive artistry. She received extensive training from legendary gurus, including Pandit Vijai Shankar and Pandit Birju Maharaj, and has collaborated with notable figures such as Smt. Kumudini Lakhia, Shri M. Balamuralikrishna, Smt. Rani Karna, Nana Gleason, and Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. Her academic background includes a Master's in Political Science and Indology, complementing her deep commitment to cultural understanding. Sinha has captivated audiences globally, performing as a soloist and lead dancer at prestigious national and international festivals across the UK, USA, Europe, Indonesia, Qatar, and Japan. Beyond performances, she conducts insightful lec-dem workshops, sharing her profound knowledge of Kathak. Her expertise extends to choreography and creative direction, and she has significantly contributed to major cultural events under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Her contributions to Indian classical dance have been recognized with prestigious scholarships and fellowships from the Government of India. She is also an external examiner for institutions like Rabindra Bharati University in Calcutta and music schools such as Padatik and the Calcutta School of Music. Nandini Sinha founded the "Nandini Sinha Centre for performing arts kolkata under Arpan Foundation," fostering the next generation of dancers.
