Shrimathy Nandini Suthahar is a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance, renowned for her expertise in the Vazhuvoor style of Bharatanatyam and her dedication to teaching Carnatic vocal music. The daughter of "Kalabhooshanam" Shrimathy Thiripurasundari Yoganantham and the late Mr. Yogaselvam Yaganantahm, Nandini commenced her formal Bharatanatyam training under her mother's tutelage at Kalaimanram in Sri Lanka. Following her Arangetram, she pursued advanced and intensive training in India under the esteemed guidance of Vazhuvoor Samaraj, son of "Natya Kalakesari", "Isai Perarignar", and "Padmashri" Vazhuvoor Ramaiah Pillai. This rigorous training earned her the title "Natya Kala Sikhamani". Nandini Suthahar is the founder, principal, and chief instructress of Kalaimanram UK, a cultural academy based in Harrow and Watford, dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional Bharatanatyam and Carnatic vocal music. As a veteran of stage and television productions, she has choreographed, presented, and participated in numerous performances. A significant highlight of her performing career includes her portrayal of 'Karaikkaal Ammaiyaar' in the "Theivaththaai" dance drama at the 4th Hindu conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1995. She also had the privilege of performing before the Archbishop of Canterbury during his visit to Sri Lanka. As a highly respected teacher and guru, Nandini trains students of all ages in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Bharatanatyam and Carnatic vocal music, preparing them for advanced examinations conducted by the Oriental Examination Board of London (OEBL). In 2010, she was commissioned to develop the practical Bharatanatyam syllabus in the Vazhuvoor discipline for the OEBL Examining Board.
