Neethu Vivek

Neethu Vivek is an Indian classical dancer with proficiency in both Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Her journey in classical dance commenced at the tender age of seven in Kerala, India, where she began her Bharatanatyam training. She received initial instruction from Smt. Kunjumol and Smt. Najarani, subsequently continuing her studies under the tutelage of Kalamandalam Vijayakumari. During her formative years in India, Neethu also acquired training in Kuchipudi. Throughout her early career, she actively participated in various festivals across India, performing both solo and in group presentations, and achieved recognition by winning prizes in youth festival competitions. Her dedication to dance took a temporary pause as she pursued her medical studies. Since 2019, Neethu has been undergoing intensive Bharatanatyam training under the guidance of Guru Krishna Zivraj-Nair, the founder and artistic director of the multi-award-winning Sanskruti in Cambridge, UK, which encompasses a performing arts school and a professional dance company. Demonstrating her commitment to the art form, Neethu has successfully completed her ISTD Vocational Advance I level examinations. A significant milestone in her career was her Bharatanatyam Arangetram, or stage debut, which took place on June 18, 2022, at Cambridge Junction in Cambridge, UK. Currently, Neethu Vivek contributes to the Sanskruti institution as a Bharatanatyam Teaching Assistant, continuing to deepen her understanding and practice of Indian classical dance.
