Nithya Chandrasekharan is an Indian classical dance teacher specializing in Bharatanatyam and Kathak. She is based in Wellington, New Zealand. Nithya received 12 years of training in Bharatanatyam from Mrs. Nalini Jayanthi at the Nritya dance school in Chennai. She also studied Kuchipudi for approximately 13 years under G. Suresh Babu, also based in Chennai. Currently, Nithya is pursuing Kathak training from Suparna Basu at the Mayur Dance Academy. She teaches Bharatanatyam to Level 1 and 2 students at the Mayur Dance Academy in Wellington, New Zealand.
