Pooja Pilli is the founder of Nartana Kuchipudi Dance Academy, based in Canada. She established the academy with the goal of increasing the representation of Kuchipudi through performing, mentoring, and teaching. Pilli is known for her ability to instill dedication in her students through rigorous practice of the art form, utilizing engaging and straightforward teaching methods. Her journey in Kuchipudi began in 2005, where she trained in the style of Padma Bhushan Sri Vempati Chinna Satyam. Her tutelage included studies under Smt. SriDevi Garu, Dr. Yeleswarapu Srinivasulu Garu, and Smt. Swathi Somnath Garu. Pooja Pilli furthered her education by completing a Masters in Kuchipudi Dance from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University. She has received several accolades, including the Best Dancer award by Silicon Andhra and recognition in the Guinness World Records for dance. Pilli has performed at various prestigious festivals globally and is dedicated to passing on her knowledge of this vibrant and graceful art form to her students.
