Koti Surya Prabha, known as Prabha, is an Indian actress and Kuchipudi dancer born on March 23, 1961, in Tenali, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. She began learning Kuchipudi dance as a child and later pursued it full-time under the guidance of renowned guru Vempati Chinna Satyam. Her professional dance debut, or arangetram, occurred in 1988, coinciding with her marriage. Prabha has performed key roles in major Kuchipudi ballets choreographed by the Kuchipudi Art Academy, including portraying Krishna in Sri Krishna Parijatham and Padmavati in Srinivasa Kalyanam, showcasing her expressive abhinaya and technical finesse in classical narratives. She has given approximately 40 dance performances in the USA. In addition to her dance career, Prabha is a prolific actress, having appeared in about 125 films across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, working alongside prominent actors such as N. T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. She has been recognized for her contributions with two Nandi Awards from the Andhra Pradesh government.
